Pier hotel, Yarmouth

Yarmouth Castle

The Pier Hotel probably during the 1920's. It was originally 

named the George, changed to the Pier Hotel in 1897 and 

back to the George in 1929. The castle is to the right. (Russell)

A close up of the gate from the George garden to the Castle,

named on the card as the Plantagenet gateway. (Judges)

A statue of Sir Robert Holmes in Yarmouth (not Freshwater 

church as shown on the card). It originally had the head of a 

 Spanish nobleman but Holmes replaced it with his own. (Welch)
